TPFay, Helping To Keep London Moving!

Laing O’Rourke are currently, quite literally breaking ground at one of London’s iconic underground tube stations. Responsible for the update of Bond Street station, we were recently approached by Costain Laing O’Rourke.

During the application of Shotcrete, it is critical that the water used is kept at the correct, optimal operating temperature. With a new application of Shotcrete required as part of on-going building and groundworks, we were asked to help.

Bond Street Station

Huge tanks are involved in Shotcrete application, and with tanks so large, it was not possible to fit a conventional immersion heater or flange heater. After a chat and the exchange of drawings and various ideas, we were able to come up with a solution.

Tailor Made Water Heating Solution

We designed and build a innovative suspended, top entry immersion heater that did the job for them, ensuring optimal water temperature allowing Laing O’Rourke to get on with the job in hand.

Whatever you need, we have the expertise to help, no matter how unconventional your requirements!
