Industrial Immersion Heaters and where to start

Industrial Immersion heaters are primarily used for water heating however there are many other materials that need an immersed heater. With over 40 years of experience, crafting heaters to perform in a wide variety of environments, we can assist in selecting the most appropriate design for your particular application.

Industrial heaters are generally larger, more powerful and more robust than their domestic counterparts. They are assembled from high quality heating elements and heavy duty components as they will typically be required to work under heavier loads.

Fay Industrial commercial grade replacement heating elements are ideal for all commercial liquid heating applications.

Certified as IP67. Any Wattage up to 24kw Single or Three Phase. Any BSP Thread Size.

Standard FI Immersion Heaters are constructed from Incoloy 800 sheathed rod heating elements fitted to a brass screw thread fixing head. Other sheath materials and head (Screw plug) materials are available as an option depending upon your application. Why not browse our guide here.

Available in Brass or 316 Stainless.

All thread sizes in the range have standard 86mm (3 3/8″) A/F octagonal brass heads for ease of installation using a standard Immersion Heater Box Spanner , also available to purchase with your heater.

Terminal Covers

Certified to IP67, pressure die-cast aluminium is used to construct the terminal box to withstand the rigours of most industrial environments. Two cable entry M25. Terminal covers can be rotated through 360 degrees to allow cable entry position to be chosen.

Thermostats

It is recommended that immersions are accompanied with the correct thermal control for the best performance in your application. We can fit our heaters with single or multiple thermostat pockets, and a full range of thermostats are available to suit most applications.

Our range of industrial and Commercial Immersion Heaters does not include Thermostats. They can be specified separately depending on:

  • Utensil Steriliser
  • Domestic Hot-Water systems (Including commercial) compliant to clause 19&22  EN60335-2-73
  • Temperature Range
  • Thermal Accuracy and switching Differential
  • Current Switching Capacity
