What are they?
Imagine a standard immersion heater – a bundle of heating elements submerged directly into a liquid. Now, imagine being able to withdraw those heating elements as a single unit without draining the tank. That, in a nutshell, is the core advantage of a removable core immersion heater.
In this configuration, instead of elements being permanently fixed within a flange, they are instead housed in a protective sheath that remains constantly immersed in the fluid. The heating elements themselves are mounted on a removable bung that slides in and out of this sheath, making replacements quick and easy!
Not only is it a useful tool for minimal downtime during replacement, a removable core Immersion heaters provide special protection for the heating elements inside your immersion heater. We create that extra layer of protection by manufacturing an external stainless steel tube and attaching it to the brass Immersion Head.
